The journey begins in Prep

Where the adventure of
learning comes to life

What does Prep look like at Shellharbour Anglican College?

Prep is an important stepping stone in the transition to Junior School at Shellharbour Anglican College. Our Prep Program offers a nurturing environment for our youngest learners to develop a sense of belonging and be bold and curious in their pursuit of deeper learning before embarking upon Kindergarten with these newfound skills in the following year.

Small class sizes ensure students receive the personalised support they require in a warm, inclusive Christian environment. The Prep cohort is encouraged to build independence, curiosity and resilience, while feeling supported by our qualified teachers every step of the way.

Prep is child-centred, with lessons conducted both indoors and outdoors utilising inquiry and play-based learning and the Deep Learning Framework, which covers six global competencies: character, citizenship, collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking. Curious minds. Courageous hearts. Hope-filled hands. This is our learning ethos.
