The pursuit of discovery and growth begins in Year 7
As students progress from Junior School to Senior School, they embark on a journey of discovery and growth filled with new challenges and opportunities. In this transitionary period, students at Shellharbour Anglican College navigate new responsibilities and grasp new lifelong skills. As exciting as this period of change can be, the College also acknowledges how it can at times be daunting with new responsibilities, classes and skills to learn. Pastoral care isn’t a buzz word at Shellharbour, it’s what we do. Student wellbeing is paramount and supported by our teaching staff who foster an environment that is supportive, motivating and challenges students on their pursuit of self-discovery as they enter Senior School.
From day one, our Year 7 students are welcomed into the Senior School community. Year 7 Orientation Day provides the perfect opportunity for your child to meet their peers and integrate themselves into their new surroundings. A helping hand is never far away with the Pastoral Care program ensuring that Year 7s are supported by students across the College with guidance throughout the year. From Year 9, students can make selections based on their interests through Electives. Our College offers a range of enticing Electives for Senior students to select from, from Biology to Construction to Legal Studies – and everything in between!
Our Year 7 students have an array of exciting opportunities at their fingertips!
