Visit our Junior School on any school day and you will see the energy and enthusiasm of the students. Our Junior School children are encouraged and guided to give their very best effort, whether it be in academic studies, creative arts, sport or community service.
Our wonderful staff are passionate about their craft and look for ways to engage each student to do their personal best. Excellent teachers understand where children are at and what is possible for the future. From the start of Prep to the end of the primary years, the students in the Junior School are cared for, understood and challenged. Our classes and specialist programs allow for diversity and encourage working together with classmates and teachers.
Curriculum
The Junior School at the College is double and triple streamed from Kindergarten to Year 6. We have Stage classes that provide the opportunity for children to learn and socialise with classmates who may be older or younger than them. This reflects more of life outside of school and allows for peer mentoring, peer assistance and modelling in class activities. There are also opportunities for children to work in a targeted group that suits their level of progress, especially in literacy and numeracy.

Learning in a variety of subjects and through a variety of strategies is a foundational part of the Junior School day. The curriculum follows the NESA Primary curriculum and includes the specialist subjects of Music, PE and Italian. Class activities are often centred on a unit of inquiry that integrates many of the Key Learning Areas.
