Musicals

Shellharbour Anglican College has a fine tradition of performing arts. Our biennial Senior School Musical Production is a highlight of the school calendar and offers students the opportunity to explore and expand their skills as performers and musicians. Over the season, student musicians team with professionals to hone their sight reading and ensemble practice. On stage performers rehearse with the directors, the vocal coach and choreographer to refine their performance craft and create a work they are exceptionally proud of. Behind the scenes, scores of students volunteer to help with sets, costumes, ushering, lighting, sound and stage management.

The Musical Production is a vehicle for all students involved, both on stage and off, to learn a host of social emotional skills such as risk taking, collaboration, time management, perseverance, persistence, and effective management of performance anxiety. This learning benefits students across multiple arenas of life, far beyond the end of the production run.
