Transition into Senior School smoothly
Enrol into Years 5 and 6 at Shellharbour Anglican College
Junior School plays a vital role in preparing students for the transition to Senior School. Our Stage 3 classes provide a supportive and encouraging environment where young learners are inspired to grow in confidence, develop a strong sense of belonging, and pursue deeper learning with curiosity and courage. These formative experiences lay a strong foundation for their successful entry into Senior School the following year.
Our Stage 3 classes consist of students in Years 5 and 6. Children have the opportunity to learn and socialise with classmates of different ages. This model better reflects life after school and allows for peer mentoring and assistance during class activities – developing confidence, social skills and leadership qualities.
Why choose Stage 3?
Academic Readiness for Secondary Our Stage 3 students are empowered to think critically, solve problems creatively and engage deeply in their learning. With opportunities to compete in the cocurricular activities such as the da Vinci Decathlon, Maths Olympiad and Maths Games, and explore language through Italian lessons, they build strong foundations to thrive in the Senior years. |
Leadership Development Stage 3 is a time for students to step up and shine. Through opportunities such as Junior School leadership roles and MAACAS (Making An Awesome Change At School), students grow in confidence, responsibility, and servant-hearted leadership. |
Faith Based Learning Our Christian foundation is at the heart of all we do. In Stage 3, students are invited to explore their faith through CRU Group, learning what it means to follow Jesus and live with purpose and compassion in everyday life. |
Belonging Before the Shift Before entering Senior School, Stage 3 students experience a rich sense of community and connection. Through co-curricular clubs like Debating, Chess, Coding, Drawing and Imaginative Play, along with sporting events, music ensembles, camps and celebratory events like the Year 6 Graduation, students build lasting friendships and a confident sense of belonging. |
